ABOUT DECADES OF FAMILY FARMING EXPERIENCE
An independent, family owned and operated business, B&F Potatoes was founded in 1993 by local farmers Steve & John Bannister and Mike & Tim Field. Starting out small, supplying to local markets with quality potatoes grown on around 50 acres, the business grew quickly and we began to farm more land.
As the business has developed, we’ve invested heavily in advanced machinery and cold storage facilities designed to maximise the quality, consistency and supply of our products for the benefit of our customers. Today, we grow over a dozen varieties of potato on over 1500 acres of our own land and that of neighbouring farmers and operate an advanced in-house washing and peeling facility, employing over 50 staff members on site.
Our customer base includes a wide range of regional processors, wholesalers, markets, small retailers, fish and chip shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as leading manufacturers from across the UK. Still owned and managed by the Bannister's family, we’re firmly committed to always providing high quality potatoes at competitive prices.
